Built this PC while I was a sophomore in high school [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Im now heading to college in about a month and a half and I'm looking to do some upgrades/ make the pc smaller so its easier to bring to and from college, I have $300 to work with but cheaper solutions would be preferred, I know long term I should upgrade the cpu to a newer chipset and get a smaller motherboard but can I get some suggestions for those upgrades as well as maybe keeping the mobo/cpu and just get a smaller case?
Open to all suggestions thanks

Grab a Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX and a Mini-ITX Z87/Z97 chipset motherboard. Z87/Z97 boards are a bit tough to find these days but you should be able to get a mobo and the case for $200-250.
