vouches could be the difference between someone selling or not. However I agree.

I've sold a couple of things through the site and people would vouch and say gl who I have never even spoke to on the site.

A couple of members would even say PM me and then when I PM them act surpised and tell me no which is obviously an attempt to boost post count.

however, I honestly don't care about post count or rep at this point because good members can upfront be confused with users that are less helpful and whatnot.

It may help if people care that much that when you post a topic trying to sell something that it's automatically locked, all questions about purchase are typically PM'd to the seller anyway

I agree, unless you're vouching for a member saying you've dealt with them in the past, there's no reason to post on a B/S/T forum unless you're interested.

I sorta do and don't agree with this

Yes I see people go on topics that have like 30 replies and is a week old saying "GLWS" in my opinion that's spam. But if you say it when the person just makes their topic it's different.

I say GLWS on some people's topics. Only on the people I care to do it on though. But I don't do it a week after it's been made.

This. I see no reason to go sales post through sales post to reply "GLWS bro!" I do agree with the OP on that part.

But, it's the same concept as going Introduction/Milestone post per post replying with "Congratulations." or "Welcome to TTG! Hope to keep seeing you active." which I do constantly because I like welcoming people.

I agree people need to take it down a notch with the post count boosting method of "GLWS", seeing as how I was advised: "Quality before quantity".

Half of this forum should be spam.
90% of news comments should be spam.
As lumbridge said the milestones/intros would be spam

People try to up the post count in any way they can. If the staff isn't doing anything about it, it's probably not REALLY spam, it's just annoying. Something annoying that you have to deal with.

0day wrote It's not really spam, and those vouches are ensuring your safety on purchasing the product or the reliability of that user. Honestly, I think they're useful. That's just my opinion though.

Well a "Vouch" is somthing you post when you have actually bought somthing from the persons post, 90% of there "Voches or GLWS posters" have not even bought a service and thats why i think it should be considered spam.

It should be considered spam with my opinion because people post that because they want to get they post up. Also, with the "Welcome to TTG" post, if you full a whole page welcoming people in like 10 minutes you are spamming just to get your numbers up. Personally it is so annoying seeing people post useless stuff just to get their post numbers up.

Yes, doing what you just explained of the "Welcome to TTG" posts IS spamming. Welcoming someone in the exact instant that person posts their introduction is not spam, which is what I do.
