There are a few people that have made good steps into modifying the ps4. It will take time just like it did with every console. The PS4 will be a blast to mod when/if they can find a jailbreak solution. Im curious whats next for the Xbox one as well. Both of the new gens consoles being modded would be a huge step for TheTechGame bringing back loads of users.

There is in fact a devkit going around, you would need an older version of the System and you could use mod menus in next gen gta 5 via injecting files through ftp, its not simple at all, its also called webxploit ps4 if you wanna look it up

The PS4 is completely jail broken and you can jailbreak your own if you are on 1.76 firmware. Anything newer is not publicly available to jailbreak.

As far as I know (and made), it's possible to do a lot, but the most of it is on 1.76: you can exploit the webkit via multiple tools provided by many good dev on the scene, like the playground what let you load payloads etc... You can also run linux and do some few mods on games (offline btw it's one 1.76 lol).

I know it's not the good forum zone to answer but I saw someone above wondering about XB1 progress, so here's a quick answer: It's really harder than ps4, and the progress is like 0.1% when the ps4 one is 20%. Few weeks ago the first "modding" tool for gamesaves was made public by Vantage. Anyway atm you can't do anything as an end-user, except playing emulators via UWA devkit but it's pretty useless.

There is a jailbreak as what potion said, but you can mod gta 5 offline they are trying to find a way to make the 1.76 firmware go online but its going to take sometime before it will be released.

so its confirmed gta5 is coming to sony's ps5 is it going to be 60fps at 4k? or no because theres no next gen yet theres only old gen and current gen

PS4s can be jailbroken, but as Potion said, you must be running an old firmware. In fact, there are actually already mod tools on PS4 so if you have a jailbroken PS4 you can have some fun modding OFFLINE on some games.
