Some of these people still think we are in the 50s and 60s they still think that they are completely and utterly targets of us white people in America at least. Especially the young people well what they haven't realized is I a white American male so far throughout my college experience have been totally screwed out of money because I'm who I am I tried to apply for a STEM program that gives you awesome connections, money and, extra opportunities to practice math around people who like it. Well after applying they said, "Thank you for your application. At this point in the acceptance process, you are an overqualified candidate in your demographic for Operation STEM." So basically what that means is I didn't get in because I'm a white male, what sickened me, even more, is that after saying that I am "Overqualified" I dug a little deeper finding out that one of my female friends wasn't even in Calc 1 she tested out and went straight into Calc 2 That seems more "overqualified" than me doesn't it? Honestly, I would claim to be a girl if it meant I got 6 grand off my tuition for every semester. Then I realize that's not going to fly too well so I go online for scholarships, at least half of them mandate that I'm a girl or a minority not one of the scholarships mandates that I was a white male. People say they make those demographic quotas for equality but I feel as if that in itself should be offensive to those particular groups because you may have only got into the program because of you're women or black. and possibly not because you earned it
I want to just say I'm not a women hater or a racist individual but I believe in equality not equity. everyone should be given the same chance.

I think most companies are just Pick&Choose they have a quota each day/week/month of people to accept and deny. You just got denied.
I remember not being let into a night club before, refused, told to go home. So i went to the back of the line and tried again and got in. Its abit like that, Try again maybe ?

I'm just saying that this situation bothered me because I'm given a lot fewer chances to get money because of how I was born.

And a lot fewer chances? Not really a lot of scholarships are giving to someone whos earned it( like you grade wise) but also needs it.

I personally couldn't afford to go to college, nearby that had the degree that I'm pursuing, It's forcing my parents to work overtime and taking time away from my other siblings I feel bad for them and I do my best to work, recently getting a higher paying job and everything. I wanted to get into this program, and I'm applying for as many scholarships as I can to help them, we aren't rich, but we make just enough to not receive any financial aid.
EDIT: also all the computer engineering scholarships offered from my school actually say that they prioritize women and minorities.

There is no better and easy to demonstrate example of this kind of thing than with the BBC.
The BBC have a 'diversity quota' for employment which is to increase their employment rate until they reach a point where 50% of all employees are women and 15% are blacks and other ethnic minority groups.
The funny part is that this doesn't work within their own framework anyway because one of their stated goals is to accurately represent the diversity of Britain, which means that the 15% minority target should be 10% because only around 10% of people living in Britain are classed as minorities, but that's besides the point.
The point is that they haven't reached either of these targets, which means that if you are a male and you go for an interview for a position at the BBC and you are sat in the waiting room with a woman who is going for the exact same job you are 50% less likely to be hired because you are a male until they reach their 50% quota, then it should - theoretically - balance out again.
Much the same, if you are a white male and are going for the exact same job as a black male then you are 15% less likely to get the job simply because you are white.
And you can combine the numbers as well and end up 75% less likely to get the job if you're up against a black female.
People should be hired based on their abilities and merits. People should be given college and university positions based on their abilities and merits.
This is discrimination and they get away with it in the name of diversity.
They went so far with this so as to actually advertise a trainee position where ethnic minorities were the only people allowed to apply.

Now is college scholarships the only complaint you have about being a white male? If so point me to a race switcher machine.
