Also on the server list i live on the east coast, so which server would i want to go with for the best connection?
There is NFO - Chicago 1, Choopa - Onshore 1-5 & SharkTech 1-4

I had IPVANISH a while ago and it was decent. I kept getting hit off though.

Typically you would want to choose the server closest to you so you have the best latency. Use UDP for gaming and TCP for anything else. It doesn't really matter though. The different names are just the type of server they are. Most of the servers are DDoS protected but I would personally go with the Choopa, NFO, or one of the Onshore OVHs. Onshore just means that it's being hosted in the USA as where Offshore would be in a different country and is used mostly for shady stuff.
