Same issue on the ifixit site. Even apple said it on their error lookup page, that if you have an error that is negative just look it up without the negative sign.

EDIT: Upon multiple searches you would've realized 90% of the replies said hardware issues, and went to the point of people taking apart their phones and cleaning with isopropyl alc.

Try restoring the phone. Then holding power and home button. When it goes to black screen. Let go of power button but keep holding home button
Then do a factory reset

so pull the phone apart and clean it or just send it in to have someone else do it? What would you recommend

If anything you can do it yourself just be careful.. if you take it locally if they charge more then $100 leave.
