Hello, so I have a 2002 Acura TL-S. I currently have factory everything, (speakers, head unit, sub/amp). I am wanting to replace the head unit but I have heard that you have to replace the sub/amp too if I did that?

Im sure it depends on the vehicle but for my truck, I put in a pioneer headunit and still had all the same factory stuff.

The answer is yes, but only if you have a preimium sound system in there, like JVC Preimuim audio, Or Bose Preimuim Audio. Those are usually the only too, if you do not have those then you should be golden.

Yeah I have the Bose Premium Sound right now, and I use an FM transmitter to listen to my phone atm, but like in some songs I listen to when an artist says a word with a "S" at the end like wraps, it sounds like fuzzy for the "S" part. So I just want to get everything re done. I went to my local audio store and the guy there said I wouldn't need anything new, but then I went to a better audio store 30 minutes away and they said I would need to get a new amp/sub so I will probably just go back there where they sound more experienced.

If you're getting everything re-done and its going to be done correctly it will cost you.

But if thats the car you'll be driving for a while you might as well do it.
