My pc can't handle streaming with obs using elgato. Just brought a new pc that hopefully will be able to stream

The specs are

Motherboard AM3 - Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
AMD Phenom II x2 560 3.3GHz - AM3 CPU
6GB DDR3 RAM (2x2GB & 2x1GB)
Western Digital Blue - 320GB SATA Drive
DVD/RW Dual Layer SATA Optical Drive
ATI Radeon HD4250 - Integrated Graphics
Ace 400Watt ATX Power Supply
Arctic Cooler 64

I only want to stream my console, not play and stream on pc. Do you think its strong enough?

If not, what parts do i need to buy for the pc for it to be good enough to stream? Got £200 to spend.

Thank you

It can, but not comfortably if you plan to do anything else while you stream.

If I buy Phenom II X4 980 would that be better?

A little over 200, but you will benefit from newer hardware. You could flip out some of the old stuff from your current system and make some money in return. If anything, you could keep your current case and PSU, and add an SSD to this.

If you do end up selling the old parts (everything but the harddrive) you could open your doors to a better CPU or make a entry level system.
