Psyonix made an announcement earlier today that they will be starting to give away rewards between $500 and $1000 for the best players in each region (EU,NA,OCE)



There are 3 sections at which they judge this by (the best in each getting the prizes):

- The Golden Striker will be awarded to the clinical finisher who scores the most Goals per game in League Play in their region.
- The Clutch Playmaker will be awarded to the cunning player who records the most Assists per game in League Play in their region.
- The Savior of the Season will be awarded to the player who racks up the highest Saves per game in League Play in their region.

The best in these 3 catorgories after each season will be considered for the prize.



Obviously, this is only for the elite few who play RL as these will be very hard to attain and therefore it doesn't actually change much for us average joes. Despite this, I still think it's a nice implementation as it sets a goal for those pro players to strive for, especially with that potential reward at the end.

What is your opinion on this?
Should they add more achievable prizes for us non-elite players?
