Hey, i have finally given in and wanted to build a new pc that can run games at a high quality, i asked my friend to do me a build and i would like some opinions on what he has come up with for me.

I will not need a keyboard and mouse but i would need some insight on what good/cheap monitors are about atm, I do not really have a budget on one but i wouldn't want to pay more than ill need.

here is the part list he come up with; [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Thanks in advance, i shall give whomever some rep for the help i do receive.

We need some sort of budget for monitor, at least a rough budget. "cheap" for you could be completely different to what it "cheap" means to us.

Also, what will the system be used for? Only gaming, or other stuff too? What games?

£100-£150 for the monitor

Some money left over so you can add an HDD if you want, and/or spend some more money on case/PSU. Ryzen 5 is less than a week away, so I'd wait for that at this point tbh. Though, you could just get a B250 chipset motherboard and a locked i5(like an i5-7500), or even a Z170/Z270 chipset motherboard and a 6600k/7600k, if you'd prefer.

Alternative monitor;

Ultrawide, but no Freesync.
