Call him, this is work that is permanent to your life and you should be concerned, it is his job to get back to you, and if he doesn't he is losing money.

He runs his business by texting clients? Lol..

Everything should be done either in the shop or over the phone followed by actual confirmations. The communication needs to be clear between the client and the shop.

I don't really think it matters how communication happens as long as you are both confident that you're both on the same page and such. I got a sleeve from a well established artist and we always communicated over text and nothing went wrong.

Like everyone else has said, you should just call him and make sure you guys are still good for tomorrow. If you're not confident in the artist's ability to answer all your questions or keep sessions then I would just find another artist. I know that is the last thing you want to do since you have been waiting for over a month, but you're better off to wait another month for a better artist than have a half completed sleeve since your artist is sketchy and can't keep session dates.

Let us know how it all turns out g. Good luck tomorrow also and if you ever want to talk feel free to PM me about this stuff!

Dude... just call him like nearly everyone said. If he doesn't answer leave a voicemail. If he doesnt respond after that go to the shop when you know he will be working.

Its definitely possibly he has been busy with other clients and drawing up sketches. On the other hand that doesn't give him a right to just ignore you or his other clients when they have appointments within a couple days.

To add onto what I was saying before. You are in an interesting spot since you don't have a down deposit for this tattoo. So if he doesn't get back to you soon you could just be like "Thanks but no thanks". I know it would be scummy and possibly cost him money since he would have an open spot, but if he is a somewhat popular artist he will be able to fill that time slot. I don't know this artists cancellation policy but there is really no downside to canceling with him because he can't take your down deposit since you didn't pay one.

So after all this its really up to you. Either you like the guy and want to give him another chance after he hasn't been the best with communication.. Or you cancel and find a new artist that will give you the time of day to answer some question.

Let us know if anything else happens with this! Or possibly show us the sketch if you have got one.
