A lot of people gain interest with computer science through web development. You get introduced to programming through simple scripts (usually javascript or python), then start learning about how the backend paradigm works.

I highly recommend an open source course offered by Harvard called, CS50, on edX. You'll learn a lot about computer science, programming, and at the end you'll touch on web development a bit with Javascript.
