When did you first notice you started having constant lag?

Always had the lag, been to my other house that gets 200 down (fibre to the house) and its the same.

I'm starting to think it's an issue with the game? xbox struggling to run it?...

Maybe its just an issue with MWR servers.

Is the lag occurring when playing multiplayer or campaign too?

Define the lag, is it graphics? or actual in game(people moving ETC).

If it is in game, it likely is the console, I noticed a difference in GTA V, from the Original xbox one, to the one s. It can't handle games at a constant framerate much like a PC would, then again if it is just constant lag it could be your connection what's your NAT?

Simple way to find it on the one Settings > network. It should be right there, you can also check your bandwidth. I do know for a fact that the MWR servers are never really that great IMO.

Do you notice it in any other games?

It's definitely not my internet connection. I think it's an issue server side after having a dig around.

Found this :

The lag I get is skipping me back to positions or places I was a few secs prior. Exactly the same issue for others. Any other game I play works fine and i get no lag at all.

That makes sense, as I did mention the servers are never that good, not just connection. If you do notice a difference, update the post a little, could clear up confusion for other people with the same issue..

The only thing that isn't making a lot of sense, is how this could be the full issue at hand, because anyone who was a day one, or month one player at that should be able to agree that it was not as bad as more recent times.

I know you mentioned you're on Xbox One, but even on PC I had the same issue as you and it's definitely not my internet or even my hardware at all. At launch and I even tried again early February the game would get really bad FPS drops and feel clunky in general. I tried 4k monitor, 1440p, even 1080p and it was the same issue on SLI 1070's. Thought maybe it was the SLI, so I took one out and tried again on 1080p and same thing. Went onto the Steam forums and a lot of people were complaining about the same issue, even know there are still topics with regards to it; with some people apparently getting banned by fixing the lag through 3rd party re-shading tools.

Someone who plays on PlayStation is going to need to jump in here to confirm if they experience anything. Xbox One it might be hardware or MWR just doesn't run well in general. PC, MWR isn't fixed, doesn't run well, is capped and depends if you're playing on a toaster or not.

I've bought it for PC too and like you say it's exactly the same. So frustrating! I will ask the guys in the shoutbox if any of them can jump on PS4 and try it. Failing that I will awaken my brother from his teenager like slumber and tell him to try haha (he's 33 going on 13).
