Started disconnecting randomly one day. I've bought a brand new controller, moved my Xbox around and nothing. This makes playing impossible as it disconnects every few seconds. Any fix to this? I've looked around but nothing.

First confirm if your controller is updated as Bacon has said.
Secondly, try using it wired a powered wire, see if it disconnects. ( Mobile wires work ) just make sure it's a USB.
- Contact Support but doubt you'll get anywhere with that, try to re-sync the controller, ( don't know why you'd wanna do this - but it's an option ) are you an xbox preview member? as updates cause issues, now I've not run into this problem myself.. but you never know with xbox.

I had this issue, even bought a new controller as the back of it was cracked near the batteries so I thought that was why. Just updated it and all seems to be going wekk

Could be batteries, hardware issues or battery connectivity issues
