Hello, I want to get like a 50" light bar for the top of my truck. How can I measure to get the perfect size? I'd also like it to be one that kind of hangs out over the windshield a little bit (unless all of them do that). So, I will need brackets but how do I know which brackets to get? I plan on buying a cheapo amazon one for like 80$ or something. I just don't know what length to get or what brackets...

You'll want 07-13 Chevy 1500 mounts from rough country, these ones will mount on the inside of your door jamb whereas the ones for your truck will mount on the roof meaning you have to drill holes in the roof so it gives you a possibility to leak and easier for people to steal.

Here is a light bar with the standard mount for a 10th gen (97-03) F-150:

I believe the first one is 50" and the second one is a 52", I know both of them are curved.
