Simplicity is probably why you liked the older CoD's the most. I agree with you that the older Call of Duty's we're much better, the only way other people can experience it with remasters and backward compatibility. But, with CoD 4 remastered they're slowly ruining it for me with bringing back the stuff a lot of people hated in the first place. ex; supply drops

Not many were a fan of Ghosts but jesus AW & IW make that game look so underrated.

SuperTyler wrote Probably already guessed it but I grew up with old school shooter (golden eye, cod4, etc..). Ever since bo2, call of duty went straight downhill. I'll make an exception for bo3. I feel sorry for the younger kids that will never get to experience what I once did when the originals were the new. Here are only a few things I disagree with in the newer titles

-supply drops
-boosting around
-1000+ camos (not that i dislike them, but fit into supply drops)
-SUPPLY DROPS
-gun varients

Call of duty is not call of duty anymore. One of my favorite pass times is now non-existent
Thank god they remastered cod4 but still it has been tainted with pay to play bullshit. I dont rant, but this is ridiculous.

I get what you mean Bro I still got the first Xbox 360 arcade haha and that's still going strong I don't like the new call of dutys

I mean you can't exactly give shit to developers and fan bases. I've said this some times over the last few COD posts, as time goes on things change. I do not see how they are considered next gen, when they are in the previous and current. Just like next gen consoles, they have been current for three or more years. so eh. I don't like seeing games boost and jump into a very unrealistic feel. But it is something everyone learns to deal with.

I can't agree more. But I heard the new CoD underway will have that old school feel, they said they're going back to the basics. So you might be lucky and get something relatable to the older call of duty's.

What ended the fun of the games for me is when they switched focus from crafting great games to sucking as much money as they could from us. Pay to win aspects like noticeably better variants of guns (think advanced warfare weapons) and the introduction of supply drops and how hard they are pushing them in every single game because they basically doubled their profit margin on top of game sales doing it. Damn shame to throw away a series so many love because they wanted to make a couple more bucks.

I honestly like supply drops. The only problem I have with them is that you can buy them. That has turned COD into a bit of a pay-to-play game. People with loads of cash can blow money on drops to get the good stuff to just have it. Other than that the supply drops are a great thing in the games. (except for MW remastered.)

I believe all of these COD games that have came out recently have been terrible. Battlefield has taken the high ground. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
