I did it for my braces and it honestly sped it up a bit. I would only recommend this is you have a decent sized gap still left to close otherwise I would just do as your directed. This is because you don't know what is too far unless you've been told by your orthodontist. That is why they schedule to see you ever 1 to 2 months.

I had braces for 3 years. The bands have a size and elasticity rating for where you are at in progression towards getting straight teeth. I do not recommend doing this.

never had braces in my life but i know for a fact that having more then one wont do anything just leave it
