My friend is looking to build his first PC but is not sure what parts to get. His budget is between $500-$800 USD.
He has a Monitor, Mouse, and Keyboard. He would like Windows 10. He will be using this PC for gaming (CSGO, H1Z1, etc.) Thanks for any help

assuming aesthetics isn't the biggest issue, this should be fine.

I was reluctant as hell to choose the SSD, either way with the left over 60$ish you are able to get in the area of 500gb..

The card was an easy pick once again assuming aesthetics and that he will not be running high/max settings. Ram is just a single stick, you can upgrade to a single 16gb for around 32$ more. The CPU is a low clock i know someone is going to call me out on that and it is a generally small case, and simple cooler.

Wait for 13, he will likely build something a lot better.

Just a couple of things I;d change.. well ok a lot of things.

Yeah, the CPU isn't great... at all. Go for I 6500 I'd say,.
Motherboard is a bit pricey imo.
The Video Card will let this build down a lot, at least get a 1050, but with this budget I reckon you can fit an RX 480 or 1060.
The PSU is overpriced, you can save around $25 on a different unit.
As for OS you can get a key anywhere online for around $20

i5-6400 makes no sense. Clock speeds are too low. Either get a Pentium G4560 for $75, or $190-$200 for an i5-6500/i5-7500. ITX makes no sense unless it is specifically required. RX 460 belongs in a $400, maybe $500 system, but not a $700-800 system.

Get a 1TB HDD if you want to save $20. You can also drop the Cryorig M9i for now and use stock cooler to save $20. XFire support so you can add a 2nd RX 480 at any point if you want.
