Would insurance for a 2016 mustang GT or a 2006 Porsche 911 be more for a "new driver" in NJ

Both are coupes and both would be real expensive for a new male driver. not much of a difference but Porsche will probably be more expensive.

The mustang is a crowd killer so I'd imagine they'd charge you more to insure you on that.

Well we need more info here. Are they coupes or convertables? Is the Porsche 911 a Carrera Cabriolet, Carrera 4 Cabriolet, Carrera S Cabriolet, or Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Is it auto or manual (same with the Mustang)?

I would say just in general the Mustang will be more expensive because it is new so parts costs are expensive. For example, a headlight on the 911 will be about $600. For the Mustang it's about $1300. That's also before we get into the fact that the Mustang is RWD, and the 911 is AWD (assume you get the AWD and not RWD).

Im assuming Porsche would way higher than a mustang depending on where you live because the class just doesn't compare. Around me mustangs are one of the most popular cars and insurance on them is actually pretty affordable. Just for an example my friend drove a 2002 911 over the summer and insurance was around $300 a month and my mom had a 2006 mustang for awhile that was only $130 a month. As 002 also said look at parts cost as well. Also think about how mustangs can be pulled into just about any shop to be worked on where you will usually need a special mechanic for a Porsche, driving costs up even more.

According to online insurance quotes a Porsche 911 is only about $2600 to insure a year which I have a hard time believing since my Buick is $2400 a year but I called up insurance companies and it said Mustang insurance would be about $4200 a year

We can't give you accurate answers on this one because car insurance is different for literally everyone. If u looking to buy one of those cars soon or somethin just get a free quote from various companies.

But srs tho it's gunna be hella expensive insuring either one.
