Alright so i own an 03 PT cruiser which is plagued by the malfunctioning multiswitch. My fog lights get stuck on unless I remove the fuse.

I was wondering if there was a way to make a toggle switch to turn the fuse itself off instead of having to remove it. I can't afford a new multiswitch lol.

You could just run an independent wire and ditch the factory set up all together. To do this all you need is a toggle switch which can be found for $5 or less at an auto parts store, and some wire. Wire can get expensive, I would recommend going to a scrap yard (some charge you $2 or so to enter) and cut out a wiring harness out of an old van or truck so you have multiple 20+' wires.

ANYWAY, all you need to do is cut the wire that goes to the lights, then put your toggle switch in a place you like. After that there should be 3 prongs on the back of the toggle switch, one should be labeled power, one should be ground and the last one may not be labeled. Run a wire from the ground prong so a random body bolt, then run the power wire to the battery positive terminal, then run the last wire to the lights and you should be good to go. You'll have to get some general electrical connectors, you should be able to get a kit for $20 or less.

Thanks so much! Once it warms up a little I'll have to do this!
