Have you went into the actual tv settings and adjusted the safe area and the actual resolution on the tv sometimes it won't change.

right click and click display option, change to a resolution that works

If you change to a resolution to high and the screen doesn't come back on just wait 15 seconds and it will revert.

Note - if you do not see the resolutions, click advanced Settings, you want to go as high as you can until the display wont work any higher.

I've been through this before, when I go through, 1920x1080 looks the best but screen gets cut off. I've also tried adjusting in the Nvidia control panel.

Thats what happened wth me, Try using A VGA Cable. they are a few bucks

My GPU doesn't support a VGA or I would. :/

That sucks, maybe the HDMI is the reason, it just doesnt like your monitor, other than that im not sure because the display settings shoulve sorted it

If you want to find out if the hdmi is the problem, you can buy an hdmi to VGA converter.

I use one myself and my resolution is perfect. You can find one under $10 on eBay easily.
