i had my 6s just over a year and the battery started dying at like 30% and slowly went up it got to the point where i had to keep it on charge 24/7 so it didnt die... eventually it stopped turning on.

it sucks because my year warranty ran out as it started to break...

You fried your battery, when you first get a new phone its best to charge it fully.
After some time this may happen because its just wear and tear on your phone.
I have the regular 6 and my phone is starting to have significant percentage drops, its not the model of the phone its just the battery.

I feel you, I'm complicating on whether to upgrade to 7 now or wait for the 7s.

I'm due for an upgrade in 6 months, or I can pay off my phone now for $150 and 40$ for the upgrade but I don't wanna do that when I know a 7s will come out but my phones battery is beginning to do what yours is doing.
So I'm a bit stuck here.

I have an iPhone 6, my 2 year contract is up this March and haven't had any battery issues with mine. From what I read online you want to charge your phone around 30% and charge it fully. If you leave it go til like almost dead and charge it completely it can harm the battery causing it to not last as long. Of course there is many many talk about this online and many websites that say different things but if my phone goes pretty close to dead I usually charge it to 50% and recharge it again when around 30% and its been working great. No batteries issues for me!

Also using your phone on the charger could cause battery issues.

Also leaving your phone on charge all night can damage the battery as well
