I just got my wisdom teeth cut out and was wondering what if your experience with it if you had had your wisdom teeth cut out. How long did it take until you were healed? My doctor prescribed very strong medication and my cheeks are very swollen is this normal? What are the best types of food to eat right now I'm eating mostly mac and cheese soup and noodles.

Very normal. You can look up different methods of the correct treatment and what to eat/drink. Skates has given you some good advice there. Nothing to worry about though.

Pop the pain killers and just kick back. Bread, yogurt, ice cream, etc. Anything soft is good to eat. You should be feeling yourself after about 3 days and as far as going to the gym thats whenever you feel good enough to go.

I got all four of mine removed at once a few months ago. The day of all I ate was one ice cream sundae. The next day, I was basically eating normal foods but slowly and making sure I wasn't using the very back of my mouth to chew (used my front teeth). Also, use the ibuprofen they give you, not the other one (it'll come in handy for headaches).

I've never quite understood ibuprofen, they say it is for anything from mild to an above average pain but it has never once made a difference for me.

But since that is likely all he has that would be his best bet for pain, but headaches you would be much better off with acetaminophen

Ibuprofen is acetaminophen.. The only difference between the two is dosage size

Had all 4 of mine removed and didn't get ibuprofen they gave me Percocets so it definitely helps a lot better than ibuprofen

You're going to get random bursts of energy on percocet.

@sota There is a huge difference between Advil and Tylenol, both are for pain yes, but several differences between the two rather than dosage.
