Weird but interesting question IMO. But do we actually need more privacy? Everything gives off a signal , telling other people where you are and what you're doing. Does this need to stop?

Personal example: My car insurance company (Admiral) came up with a new idea of looking at customers Facebook profiles to gather information on what that person is like (personality wise). Based of this information they could lower or increase insurance prices based on your Facebook profile...

Yes I know, this was rejected by the courts but still...

Like WTF?!

Anyone else had any run-ins with privacy issues?

Yes, and I think more people should donate and volunteer for causes like the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the ACLU.

Also if you have a interview for a job. There is a possibility that the employer might check your profile on Facebook to see who you really are, and see if you really told the truth about yourself.

Where I live there's a big eye shaped screen above the main train station that shows advertisements to people while simultaneously scanning their faces as they walk past.

If they ever did that, I'd find every insurance agent and knock them straight on their ass
