I've had a curved TV for the past 12 months. Don't really see what the fuss was all about. Just get two nice monitors, if you're not using it for gaming you don't need any decent specs just that its output is 4K.

Skates wrote Not exactly sure if the forum fits the topic.

But anyways, I want to get 2 curved monitors roughly 24 inches in length or more, I'm not sure what sizes they come in, but my desk is 4ft long so I'd like the monitors to fit nicely in the center. I also want to have both monitors on a monitor arm to give it that floating affect so if any of you know a good arm that will hold both monitors perfectly please let me know.

I don't really have a budget, just nothing too crazy as I will be buying 2 of the monitors, also would like them to be 4k. I'm not familiar with screen specs so I don't know what's good or not. I found this monitor about in my price range, is it good? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

What I will be doing with the monitors is, 1 will be for my Xbox One, the other my pc. When I'm not playing Xbox I'd like to use both screens for my pc. I am not gaming on my pc, strictly productivity. Also would like to be able to switch it from Xbox to pc effortlessly without having to unplug and plug in cables.

Any tips and help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey mate haha time for me to help you!!

Around these things I'll firstly cover the Xbox One and Monitor Compatibility.
You will need HDMI SPECIFIC curved monitors. The one you are looking at won't provide you with the needs. 27" is also a bit too much should really look at 24" for what you are planning to do.
The Xbone and PC pov will be a pain to set up as you will have to do a two way stream (split HDMI works best) for the PC and plug in the Xbone into a separate port on one of the other monitors.

Going on from that you don't have to specifically have the same monitor. I like the idea of having two curved monitors on a stand as that would look cool, however it can cost you quiet a bit of money. The best ones out there are also far bigger than what you'd expect them to be. The one I would recommend would probably not fit (if using 2 at the same time) as it's 34". However I still think it's a good idea to have a look at it [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Bare in mind this has a response time of 4ms which might not be what you are looking for. However looking at the other specs of this monitor this response time shouldn't be a problem at all.

If you wanted to Still do a setup that's not curved there are plenty of good monitors out there. If you plan on only doing a 4k experience of gaming then I think you should optimize research onto these things:
  • Make sure that the refresh rate is 60MHz or higher for the best display
  • Check the Response time, Ideal response time is 2ms or less
  • Make sure that the resolution fits your needs.
  • Check the display type. Best is LED Back-lit.
  • If going for gaming check if it's compatible with G-Sync as it will boost your performance and visuals
  • Ensure that it comes with things you need (cables or any other peripherals)

I have had a look for curved 24" monitors but I couldn't find any, good ones, that would fit you. The monitor you looked at wouldn't be good due to it's response time delay (5ms) which would make your gaming time terrible (just think about console gaming on a TV and how long it takes for the trigger press to be recognized on screen).

If you don't think the 34" Acer monitor would be the right choice just go over the bullet points I stated. I only put down the most important ones. Bare in mind with curved monitors, if you want a good monitor that will last, you will spend a lot of money. You could get a better time with a standard gaming monitor (flat screen) which will cost you less and you could get smaller sizes, meaning you could even do a 3-way screen instead of a 2-way.

If you have anymore questions let me know. I am always happy to help out whenever I can. Also you can pm me if anything to do with these things.

Cheers dude, I'll check it out.

Check my reply around monitors. You said 4k also and that's 1080p

It also doesn't include G-Sync

Best of all Response time of 4ms X_X

That monitor is good for a standard member of the public and possibly a graphics creator that only needs 1080p, maybe a casual gamer but from what I understand you want it for I wouldn't go with a 50Mhz display
