Personally I would take construction, I'm currently studying electrics in college. I've always been awful at art and never liked it. However, I've always had an interest in construction and other related stuff.

BUT... It's down to you, it's your life and your decisions. Chose what you want, not what someone else wants you to do.

I personally think Contruction is better option as it is easier to make it a career.

I did GCSE Art in school but never got the option to do Construction. If I had the choice now, I would choose construction.
