Keep in mind you will need alot of Three of Coins
So this is from my personal experience farming on Destiny. I use to farm alot over the past years playing this game and I find later on things tend to not work as they use to. So I'm going to give you my top farming methods and places on Destiny that work right when this is posted. I will also do my best to update it.
First Farming Method is the Challenge of the Elders
Second Farming Method is on Old Russia, Earth. ROI Mission: The Iron Tomb
Third Farming Method is on Meridian Bay, Mars. Mission: The Black Garden
Fourth Farming Method is doing the Siva Crisis Heroic Strikes
Fifth Farming Method is doing the Archon's Forge Event in the Plaguelands on Earth
Well that's all for now, I hope this helps you guys in anyway cause it has truly helped me progress in Destiny. I went from 365 Light farming blues to 371 from farming Exotics. If you ever have any questions then please do message me on here or leave a comment below. Thanks and enjoy!

This has to be the best one in my opinion. Everytime I've completed the Challenge of Elders I've gotten a Exotic. I played in 5 times consecutively with a fireteam and every single time I've gotten atleast 1 Exotic. I highly recommend using this one. Of course you will pop 3 of coins at each boss.
Second Farming Method is on Old Russia, Earth. ROI Mission: The Iron Tomb
I caught this one on YouTube. Me and my friends did try this and had little success with getting Exotics. It usually took a good while before dropping another Exotic, but it is still a decent farming method. Make sure to pop Three of coins at the first boss and the second boss. DO NOT pop one on the third boss, just jump off the ledge and repeat it all over again.
Third Farming Method is on Meridian Bay, Mars. Mission: The Black Garden
Found this one up to date and still working. The mission is a pretty solid one to farm, still a few success here and there with exotics, but still a good farm to take into consideration. Of course you will pop 1 Three of Coins on the first boss and 1 on the second boss, then 1 on the third boss. Only agonizing part about this farm is the fact you cant restart it after the second boss. You have to do the whole mission all over again..
Fourth Farming Method is doing the Siva Crisis Heroic Strikes
For this one it's a little sketchy and non-promising but still a good one overall. First you will simply do 2 strikes fully through without popping 3 of coins. Once you have the Vanguard Streak for getting more legendaries that's when you start popping 3 of coins on the final boss. Apparently your chances are greatly increased but I've had no luck as of yet to get an Exotic. My friends on the other hand have had success with it, so that's why I put it in here.
Fifth Farming Method is doing the Archon's Forge Event in the Plaguelands on Earth
Now this one has been a blast to do because it can be endless to the point where the event will keep going as long as people keep getting offerings. The more people you have the more offerings get gathered by multiple people and then the event can keep on going. Of course you will pop a 3 of coins before the boss comes out. I've had luck of getting around 6 Exotics from this event doing it about 15 times. You're chances greatly increase on the Perfected Offerings as well. Either way this farm is a GREAT ENGRAM FARM, whether it be for blues or legendaries. I've walked out with around 70 blues and 20 legendaries from doing this.

The Iron Tomb has been very fruitful for me. My friend has it made in strikes though.

Just play and youll get strange coins. Prison of Elders, Strikes, Nightfall can give them as end match loot. I usually get around 200-230 by every Friday. Then turn them in to Xur for 3oC.
