Since I'm really into Anime I'll be providing you guys with a supreme justice of providing you guys with news on it.

Sentai Filmworks, the popular anime distributor, have decided to incorporate their selection of anime films to Steam. You will soon be able to stream and download anime films such as Makoto Shinkais Children who Chase Lost Voices and The Garden of Words, as well as favorite Ghibli films such Grave of the Fireflies; Spirited Away; Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro among others.
From the 21st of September, you will be able to stream and download 12 anime films in both English subtitled, and English voice acted. Sentai has decided to put their selection of films on all Steam supported platforms such as Windows, Linux, Mac, SteamOS and Steam Link. This does seem like a good idea in theory as anime and gaming do both falls under nerd culture, and many gamers are also fans of anime.
This decision does appear to be unnecessary, though, with the newly recent partnership between Funimation and Crunchyroll (you can read about it here) it would have been nice to see Sentai Filmworks decided also to join in and provide their film selection to those platforms. It would make the legal anime streaming services seem more pro-consumer as now they incorporate both anime series as well as anime movies.
But let us know down in the comments below whether youll be checking these films out on steam, or would you have rather wanted them to go to Funimation and Crunchyroll. Sentai [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] source
