Yeah you can buy a 49" 4K TV at Wal-Mart for $329.00 - My mom bought a 42" TV for $700 in 2010 so yeah. The prices are dropping dramatically.

Because monitors are becoming more popular, so companies are trying to get rid of their TV's that are below 4k.

No one is going to use a monitor for a TV. Switching from a TV to a monitor for gaming, sure, but for something in the living room or to watch TV from your bed/couch, no one is going to be using some 27-30 inch monitor when they can be using a 40-60 inch TV for around the same price of a 4k monitor.

Not just because of 4k technology TVs are getting cheaper but the other reason is less and less people watch Television there days. Thank God for Online TV.
