Burlington, WA Mall Shooting. 5 dead, 1 suspect in police custody.

Four women and one man died in the shooting Friday night(September 23rd, 2016) at a Macy's store at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, north of Seattle. The victims' identities have not been released. Cetin was taken into custody Saturday night after a nearly 24-hour manhunt, authorities said.

The lone suspect held in the killing of five people at a Washington state mall will be arraigned Monday and authorities are working steadily to nail down a motive, a state patrol spokesman said Sunday.

Arcan Cetin, 20, is facing five counts of first-degree murder, according to Skagit County jail records. He will appear Monday in the county's district court.

Cetin, held in Skagit County jail on Sunday, has not been formally charged, according to Sgt. Mark Francis, a state patrol spokesman.

Horrible person that needs to get shot for real, and the worrying thing is that he's only 20 years of age.

Some people are really, really messed up in the head, it's a horrible disease

Rest in peace to the souls that were taken too soon from their loved ones..

You're right and we need better services to treat those kind of people otherwise this will keep happening over and over again.

Whilst i don't and would never condone the actions of this type, Mental Illness is often a significant factor. It's the treatment they get or more often than not, don't get which see's them become the person they were when performing these horrific acts. If you put more into the Mental Health Support Systems, eliminated the Stigma and people were vigilant in spotting the signs then i'd bet $1000 that these types of incidents are vastly reduced.

Case study, a man in Canada, stabbed and beheaded a fellow passenger on a Greyhound Coach. Specifically the murder of Tim McLean by Vince Li.

Li stabbed McLean multiple times and then proceeded to cut his head off and show it to fellow passengers, and then begining to eat part of the body. Complete zombie like craziness, you'd think this guy would be sentenced to death or locked in solitary for life. No, with the right treatment and controlled medication, Li was classified as a very 'Low Risk Offender'.. Meaning he wasn't seen as a threat to staff or inmates, low security prison and everything. Year after year he has been granted more and more freedom (Whilst incarcerated) and has been described as 'The Model Patient' who know's he must take the medication to stay in good health.

That is a significant transformation, from decapitation and cannibalism to being allowed to live in a Group Home and being described as a Model Patient.

Mental Health requires so much more funding and awareness it's indescribable, it's a billion miles from where it should be. You improve it, more get treated and the stigma gets eliminated. These are humans born with something they didn't want and struggle to control on their own, they're normal people like you and i but if it's not controlled, they're overcame by signifficant urges, voices in their heads and severe psychosis, it controlls them and as a result, these kinds of killings happen fairly regularly.
