Hello, so I just tried recharging my ac the other day and when I hooked the gage up to the AC thing (lol sorry idk what it's called) the arrow went to the green for being empty. It said if it goes to the red is a mechanical issue. So I thought I was good. Filed it up to the blue about in the middle of the blue. Still blows hot air.. any suggestions?

It could be multiple different things from the compressor to the AC clutch. Take it in to your mechanic for him to check it out

Are you sure you put it in the right line?

Usually a good mechanic will diagnose it for free, some might charge like a 20 dollar diagnostic fee or something. MAKE SURE you get a price on a diagnostic fee. If they just charge their hourly rate for however long it takes, walk away. Sometimes it's just their way of saying they don't want to or don't have the skill to diagnose issues. Others will take advantage of you by taking as much time looking at stuff that probably isn't the issue.

Wait what way are you supposed to hold the can? I held it upright and in this video I just watched they filled thiers upside down..?

On top of that.. when I sprayed the recharge stuff just in the air.. only air came out. where as in this video they have a clear tube and it looks like a liquid is coming out..?

Lol, yeah the can is full of freon, that's what you want in your AC system. I always hold the can upside down.

As far as the steps, there should be circles and ovals. If it's just some flaky rust you'll be fine.

How much of it do you have left? If you didn't hold it upside down the first time then you may have just pumped the system full of air with no refrigerant. I personally would bleed all the air out and try again holding the can upside down. Of course this could be chasing a dead end as mentioned above because other things such as the AC compressor may be out.

Not enough. I also bought like off brand cheapest one available.. How do you bleed the AC?

Will that thing not engage with just air?
