Hey guys im looking for a gaming monitor that is preferably 1440p. Even though im most likely only gaming in 1080p i want to be able to always bump my resolution up whenever i would like. Any size is good as well. The connector ports can be any (DVI VGA or HDMI but preferably DVI or HDMI).

I'd get one of those for 1440p, sub $300.

However, this might be a nice alternative;

I'd personally prefer to go 3440x1440 for ultrawide, but they're very expensive. 2560x1080 monitors are very cheap and I hear they're great for gaming, and won't be as demanding as 1440p but will be more demanding than 1080p.
