Overall budget somewhere around 600GBP. Can be lenient but not too much (If it's really worth it, I'll splash the cash.)

Current setup:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Other parts:

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Main monitor)
2 x [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (Side monitors)

I was thinking of upgrading to Skylake and getting [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Let me know what your recommendations are.

I use all 3 monitors so it would definitely not be better for my use.
I would like an ultrawide but it's just not practical for what I use my computer for.

Good suggestion though

Honestly, CPU wise, I'd be waiting for Zen, personally. Skylake would probably be fine, but Zen should be bringing 8C/16T CPU's to the mainstream at a decent price, and Intel will have to fight back. There's already rumours of Intel bringing 6C/12T CPU's to the mainstream socket. Your FX-8320 should last another year anyway, so you could wait a few months and see what's happening CPU wise, then upgrade. Or, if you feel like you really need an upgrade now, you can't really go wrong with a 6700k.

Peripherals, case, cooler etc are all fine. GTX 970 is still a great card, only reason you would need a GPU upgrade is if you're wanting to play AAA titles at 5760x1080, or want to upgrade monitor to higher resolution.

So, pretty much a CPU upgrade is your only logical option IMO, and even then, you should wait it out a little if possible. Other than that, I'd recommend getting some more SSD storage in there.

I'm assuming Zen will be on a new socket not AM3+?

Yeah, Zen will be AM4 so you're going to need a new motherboard, RAM and CPU regardless. You could go 6700k right now if you wanted, and I doubt you'd regret it but it's been a good while since anything interesting has happened with CPU's, and Zen should hopefully get things moving, maybe knock Intel back in to gear. So even if you don't go with Zen, you could go with whatever Intel come out with around Zen time.

However, if you feel the 8320 isn't doing you well enough and you can't be bothered waiting, the 6700k isn't a bad choice by any means. Zen has already been delayed a couple of times and it looks like first quarter of 2017 before we see Zen on the mainstream.

Ok. I will probably just grab a Skylake upgrade. I don't particularly want to wait that long for the Zen possibilities.

You think [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is a decent enough upgrade or would you recommend something else?

I'd probably get one of these motherboards;

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Or, if you're set on Asus, the mobo you chose would be fine, this is another option;

I personally really like MSI's LGA1151 boards and had a great experience with my MSI Z97 board, but had to upgrade to an Asus board for SLI support(and got it for a steal).

The only other change I can see that you could make, is to get the Kelvin S36 instead of the Kraken X61. The S36 will perform better, and is around £10 cheaper. The X61 is great as well though, if you'd rather that. I love my X61. I did want to swap my X61 for an S36 when I seen my friend's S36 and overclocked his 4690k on the S36 though lol.

I got my X61 in my H440 fairly easily, though I wanted to leave as many drive bays in as possible so it was a tight(ish) squeeze, though the H440 should support the S36 mounted in the front or the top.
