The most civilized way would be to report it to the police, let them know the time they usually hop over and have them busted for trespassing. Not that you may have already done that, as it's quite the obvious thing to do. Not sure if destroying plants is criminal damage either, but hopefully the app dies down in a few weeks.

I've had a similar issue with this. I have a Pokestop near my backyard because behind my yard and my neighbor's yard, there is a hiking trail with a few Pokestops along the trail, one of which is a few meters away from my backyard's fence. No one has gone into my yard (yet) but they have walked by and either stand near the fence while collecting from the Pokestop or taunt my dogs as they're walking by, both of which at that point it's your own fault if my dogs decide to jump the fence and attack you. My dogs were used as hunting dogs and are now guarding and attack dogs, East European Shepherds, a 5.5 foot fence is nothing for them to jump over if someone is taunting them, they'll go right for the attack and won't stop unless I command them to, which if I don't hear, that person is shit out of luck and truthfully even at that point, I would probably just let them continue attacking for a while just so that person gets it through their mind not to taunt my dogs.

I remember reading something on Reddit which I'll look for after I post this. Basically a user's backyard is a spawn point in which players have been wandering into his yard at all times, not even letting him know despite him putting a sign to do so. One night he lets his dog out and his dog starts barking and turns out there's some dude in OP's yard cornered by his dog, trying to catch Pokemon. The stranger tells OP that he's going to call the cops on him because the dog bit him, which it didn't; cops show up, they have a talk with OP and ask to see his dog, after a while they told the stranger he needs to leave and the stranger started bitching and complaining about being harassed...

Anyways, onto you -Zed, the barbed wire in my opinion is a good idea, you have put up no trespassing signs and people still continue to do it, if they choose to ignore that and end up getting cut, their own fault. If it keeps happening I think electrifying the fence would be your next best option (so long as you don't have pets who get curious) or just straight up start calling the police on people. Unfortunately for you, you can't 100% fully request Niantic to remove the spawn point as apparently you can only request them move a Pokestop or Gym if it were in your backyard, spawn points however are based on an older game they had and apparently cell data, which I'm assuming they have little to no control over (I'm sure they can tweak some things, but it's Niantic after all.)

You can try to report it in game or try to report here [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Just click the "submit a request" tab, then click "Report an issue with a Gym or PokStop" from there "Request removal of a PokStop or Gym" and then tell them what's been happening and see if they can fix the spawn point for you.

EDIT: Here's the Reddit link

I love the detailed response

I have called the cops, but these kids do it randomly also, so no real time table or anything predictable really, they just do it when they please lol

And yea I hop on Reddit occasionally, I saw that sub a while ago, and I'm somewhere commenting on it but I forgot where really lol

It has gotten a bit carelss now.

I don't care what Pokemon is in my back yard, if it says No Trespassing then no trespassing. I wouldn't want groups of people wandering into my backyard, yet alone jump a fence...

I honestly think this rant is a complete lie. A pokemon only shows up when you're close to it at which point you can just click it and catch it.

It wouldn't show up if it wasn't in range for them to press it with their finger.

If something appeared in your backyard they could catch it from over 100 meters away.

So I highly doubt anyone is that retarded to intrude when they can catch it 100 meters+ away from your damn house.

If it was a pokestop this would be a different story.

A high amount of people use stuff such as Pokevision, to see stuff from over 100 meters away, and my back yard isn't that small, Living on the edge of town, my house alone is built a bit of ways onto my property, at least 200 meters after going through my front gate, and 400 meters stretched out back to the fence, with the park on the other side of said fence.

I kinda know what you are own about, I live near 2 schools & both of them are gyms, to make matters worse one of the gyms is on the edge of my property.

It actual gets really annoying, but the good news is no one is able to conquer it because I own both :^)
