Well today me and my friend worked on my subwoofer boxes and was waiting for some stuff to dry and we got bored and took my exhaust off my truck and it sounds amazing so we just put a turn down.
Do ya'll rather have a exhaust "flowmaster, magnaflow ect" or just run no exhaust just weld a turn down on?

I ran a straight pipe (pretty much open headers) on my F-350 because everything rusted out lol, but on my F-150 I run a Flowmaster 10 series which is a single chamber exhaust. It's literally 1 step above a straight pipe.

If you have to get emissions tested, just use the exhaust clamps instead of welding. That way you crawl under the truck for 15 mins once a year, you have the sound you like, and pass emissions.

Right now I have just straight pipe after my cat, so no muffler or resonator. I love the way it sounds, however, I think a 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch straight pipe to a Borla muffler might sound even better. Right now, I have 2.25 inch piping immediately after the cat to 2.5 inch piping right where the stock muffler was. It's all preference! I prefer the sporty sound you get from a performance muffler rather than the loud screams you get from a straight piped car. Also, each car sounds different so it's whatever you prefer!

Very true about each vehicle sounding different.

I put my super 10 on just so I can go pass inspection and decided to just keep it on. It sounds so clean and loud.
