I'm building a longboard but I'm still new to longboarding so I have no idea where to start or what's good or bad. Any longboarders out there that can help?

Don't get a cheap, you might have to spend up to 250 if you want a high end one.

I have a

Check out zumies if you don't know a whole lot, they have long boards complete, and may even allow you to build your own board package (pick your deck, trucks, barrings, wheels, hardware, etc.) like they do on regular skateboards.

Do not build your own longboard nor go to Zumiez.

If you want a great longboard, I'd recommend Sector 9. They have some of the highest quality parts of any type of cruiser board, and if you get a bamboo model, it may last forever. (I've owed mine since 07, still runs great)

You will not need to spend more than $150. Especially since you're just beginning. Unless you absolutely want a long longboard. Then you're looking at about $200.

The shorter the cruiser, the cheaper.
