First of all, let me get something straight, this is not a sympathy post at all. I just want you all to know how quickly things like this can happen and to love your animals to no extent. Yes, he's a little Yorkie, but doesn't change the fact he was like my brother.

I live 40 minutes away from my parents. I was driving around with my friend in his car and my brother called me telling me to come down to my parents wood shop, they lost the dog. I asked how long ago the dog was missing and they said an hour, which was later found out as a lie. Dog was missing alot longer than that. Anyway, I got there and I'm calling his name, and I couldn't find him. My Dad called the police station to file a report and they said "A dog was hit by a car and we have it here, it's dead. Come down now so we don't dispose of the dog." Man, when my Dad told me that, my heart dropped. My Mom started balling her eyes out and she couldn't breathe. So I hurried to the police station and seen the small bag, and turns out it was him. I didn't get a chance to see him in 2 months and I regret. I was actually planning on coming to see him soon too. This all happened last night, so quickly. Doesn't even feel real. Crazy how how much dogs and animals can mean so much to us. Make sure you always watch your pet if they like to wander, and always show them you love them. Love you man

That's what he used to do too. I'd always watch him though when I was around.

Damn dude, I used to have a dog when i was younger, he died a year later because of a group of teenagers were drunk and came in our backyard and then killed him. They were arrested after but i was very sad for a long time. Keep in mind this was like 12 years ago so i was like 12 or 13. But sorry for your loss man.

This has just hit the brick as they say, sorry to hear your close 'friend' got hit by a vehicle in a short amount of time. I've had a dog years ago (15 years ago) and she had to get put down and that was sad enough. (Old age) I hope you feel better in the long term and not think about it as much and buy another dog and remember the dog that got hit to remember for respect. Sorry to hear that once again life can be short sometimes. Just say strong and you'll be fine.

Thank you man, but I don't think I'll be getting another dog for a long time.
