In late October of 2015, J. K. Rowling released official information regarding her newest addition to the Harry Potter story line. Although there were many allusions and weak references to a new book and/or movie on various fan sites, and even once on Pottermore, this was the first point at which Rowling released concrete information: the synopsis of the play.
It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isnt much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Personally, Harry Potter is one of my favorite book and movie series. When I read that there would be a new production that follows a similar plot as the original series, I was absolutely ecstatic. And then it was announced that the play would have some exclusivity: the production would air only in London, England. To the fans that are in England, that's great - but I live in the United States... very far from England.

Nevertheless, the production is coming to life on July 30, 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, England. Although I'll live vicariously through those who attend at snap some pictures, I was very pleased to find out that there will be a new book accompanying the play, though slightly different than the others in the sense that it will be in screenplay format, not our classic story format that everyone is used to. The book will be released on July 31, a day after opening night, and is available for pre-order [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] from Amazon, or [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] from Barnes and Noble.

Now I for one will be ordering this book for the sake of the collection, but what do my other Potter fans feel? Should she have written more than just a screenplay? Will you be pre-ordering / purchasing a copy for yourself?
