Awesome thread, love it. I go to the gym 3 days a week, training different parts of the body each day. I have seen a massive change since I first started. However I still struggle when It comes to choosing the right foods to eat. I'm only 16 so obviously I don't want to bulk up too much just yet.

Personally, i believe bodybuilding is for insecure douchebags, that have a low self esteem to begin with and have no other skills. Takes absolutely no skill to gain muscle. You can push the bar up, while squeezing your muscles. WHOAAAAAAAAAAA. Why dont you try boxing, triathlons, jiu jitsu, basketball, etc. Don't be a sellout douchebag because you want to have a six pack to get laid. If some bitch wants to **** you just because you have abs or 20 inch arms, shes fake, lol. Eat healthy, stay fit and strong. Don't be a bodybuilder lawlz

I used to think like this too, however when you start training and pushing your body, the feeling is incredible. As you said, it doesn't necessarily take skill but it takes genetics and hard work. The majority of people give up when they see something that's difficult or they can't do. Everyone wants to be a bodybuilder but not everyone wants to lift heavy weights. It's the same about education, I've seen tons of videos on facebook with millions of views about how the education system is wrong and you don't need qualifications. These people aren't willing to put the work in.

Not to mention, you don't need to do bodybuilding to get large muscles or have a six pack, bodybuilding is for people who want to see how good their genetics are and how far they can push their body. I go to the gym, go running, do boxing and I used to do Taekwondo. If you eat enough, you can easily have it all.

You know that's a damn lie lol. 99.9999999% of people start bodybuilding due to some form of insecurity. I think it is literally 1 in 15 million people start lifting weights (bb, or powerlifting) to test their genetics. I used to "bodybuild", count calories, stare myself up and down in the mirror, and even tried steriods. What did it do to me? Make me spend money I shouldn't have, made me have a stale life, not enjoying it to the fullest trying to count calories. Now, I take jiu jitsu, and do a 5x5 workout for speed, strength and agility. I also do a little bit of yoga to be flexible and to just feel better. All im saying, IS DONT BE A SELL OUT TO GET LAID OR PROJECT AN IMAGE THAT SOCIETY HAS CREATED. And btw, from personal experience, i have gotten laid way more now that im just me and down lift to get big, and just win them over by personality. Not gonna lie, im nowhere close to being the best looking guy, but Im one of the most personable/charismatic people you will ever meet, and ive lost 15lbs of muslce and still get more puzzzzzzzzzy.

If you'd going to the gym for the purpose of looking better, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. The human body has so much potential, it's just a waste unless you're pushing yourself as far as you can go. The same can be said for anything though, why do woman wear makeup? Are they insecure? Of course not, they simply want to look better.

The reality is that most of the users on this website are typical gamers who don't do much exercise and have average bodies. This thread is probably one of the best threads here, it shows them that with some hard work they can get a really good body.

It all depends what your goals are in life I guess. Personally I'd like to be remembered as a hard worker and someone who made it rather than who I used to be, someone who just played video games.

Yes, woman do wear makeup due to some form of insecurity. Why do they wear it? To look better. Why do you go to build muscle? To look better.
Yes, you feel better about yourself, because more secure about not looking bad.
I understand you are now into bodybuilding to "push yourself" but at what cost? Eating a shit load of junk food to get a shot load of calories? To have your arms hug the sleeve? Dont lie and say the reason you BODY BUILD is to work harder.
Why dont you work hard at something that will help you in life?

I'll try to explain to you the way I think of it.

If I go to the gym and I can bench 100KG, is that all I'm worth? Am I limited to 100KG? And I keep working till I get over that barrier and become stronger.

Someone who's insecure doesn't believe in themselves and is nervous about what people think of them. This is bordering on a mental illness. I assure you that woman aren't all insecure and neither are all guys in the gym. The majority of people such as myself accept that us humans live a short life and it shouldn't be spent worrying about what other people think of you.

And of course not, I eat only about 3500 calories or so each day. You can easily get that with just meat, vegetables and fruit. In fact, I rarely touch junk food.

And work hard at what that will help my life? I only started the gym after I'd spent years in school working my ass off for exams. I can already speak two languages and I'm applying for university in September. Like most people who go to the gym, I love the feeling of the pump and beating my old records.

You are quite honestly the most pathetic member I've seen on here in a long time.

The fact you use the word "****" referring to having sex just makes you seem immature or you think your some sort of ticket that thinks he know's best. Also the fact you say you've tryed steroids too and you've already gave up the gym shows how immature you are steroids are a life altering drug, it's not like a joint or MDMA take it just for the sake of it.

Just about every single person that workouts out in the gym other than athletes for sports, go there because they have insecurity's big deal? if it's going to help their self-esteem why not?

People like you I'd love to put in a hole, you're quick to judge a whole community of people because of your opinion. You yourself obviously have body image issues that's why you choose to point out flaw's in others you can deny it all you like the fact is most people who bully or are quick to pass judgement are either self-absorbed or self-conscious,

Keep your shallow minded views to yourself, grow up and continue to "get ****" and the reason you get more "****" now than you did when you lifted is more than likely because you were training and still looked horrible haha.

Put me in a room with you and 99% of women and I don't mean little girls like you most likely chase would pick me over you every single day of the week, if you reply then argue with yourself.

I've used enough of my time to reply to a down low waste of space like yourself.
