To be able to buy anything you want in the game you want to first go to Sanctuary Hills and build tons of purifiers in the river by the city. The max capacity for water is 999 for one city so once you hit that number stop building purifiers. Everyday you will receive about 755 purified waters in your work shop that you can take out and use to buy stuff or sell for caps. Each water is worth 10 caps so you would get 7550 caps per day which can buy anything I have seen in the game. I have received upwards on 950 purified water in one city but it varies depending on when you check your storage. You could put purifiers in other cities but no city has the same amount of river space as the first settlement so I would see it pointless.

You'd need at least 377.5 carrying weight to carry all that water, but obviously you could just Fast Travel to and from Settlements to sell them, sounds like a good, easy tip. Will have to give it a go next time i play

If you have a Power Armor suit and just upgrade the capacity of it to 420 items it makes it alot easier to carry the water.

That's pretty smart I would have never thought of it usually I just duped things and sold them but now that it's patched well I can certainly use this method and it's "legit" or whatever people say now days like it matters
