I am going to start this off by saying that I do like/love the new design and all of us very much appreciate the time and effort put into releasing v5. However there are a few minor improvements that could make the site a little more, professional. Don't get me wrong, (here comes the hate) but the badges, of course they can be changed however I'd just like to say on v4 the badges felt like something you really need to work hard for, once you get them you feel good :feelsgoooood: it had something different to all these ones. As again don't get me wrong, the new badges are nice but just don't have that look the others did, I am sure others could agree and or disagree. When people design new ones some hate some like more than these. Or they just go ignored. There are endless ideas out there of what the badge could be..

What do you all think?

I feel as though it's a bit similar to giving every kid a trophy in Gym Class. I don't think they look bad though.

Biggest issue I have with badges is that they dont cycle anymore, at least as far as I know they dont. Maybe I have something disabled but I looked in all settings to turn it on but I dont see anything for it.

Im not sure why that was a good idea, maybe it makes the site run smoother but as for the user base I think its kind of lame that it only shows ONE badge at a time.

They seem to be updating V5 with lots of stuff as time goes on, fixing things that were broke, like the profile editing options.
Maybe it's something they're working on.

Sean actually talked about rotating badges in another thread. Forums/t=7479919/rotating-badges-...agree.html

Sean wrote We could prob allow people to choose a badge to display but the old way of rotating can't be done on the forums and here's why.

Lots of awards will be added every person will have them rotating it was the most annoying thing while we were testing the site.

Mobile users will find their pages will move around due to lots of rotating badges.

I actually love the new layout of the site. It took me like 2 hours to get used to it but now i think it is was better than v4

I agree with the look of the badges. They look a little generic to me. But I do know staff are taking high consideration into mock ups of new badges that people are making.

Not all of the badges on v5 are meant to be badges, they are also achievements that are showcased on the users' profile.

I kinda agree that they don't seem as 'cool' to have.

And i am sure we will see more being added/modified.

I only think that:

Staff badges sgould stand out more

Awesome, Ninja, & Wizard badges should live up to the name. (More colorful) Ninja should just look cooler.
