Haha, I've definitely tried that man! I sit there for hours just staring at the clock and nothing happens.

Just get some drowsy cough syrup you can get it from any chemist or big shop like tesco for uk or wall mart for us and it will help you fall asleep. just take 2teaspoons and then in about 20mins you will be asleep (Benylin dry cough is the best)

Try laying down and closing your eyes.

Maybe you should get some Zzz Quil?

Also instead of sitting on TTG, maybe you should go lay down.

Oh, come on now, guys. Don't you think I've tried simply "laying down and closing my eyes" and turning off everything in my room? I mean, if it were one or two days, those would be acceptable answers, but five days? Come on.

As a sufferer of insomnia at times I've been awake for near enough a week on more than one occasion and it sucks.

The longer you stay awake the harder it is to go asleep until eventually you feel like you will never get to sleep.

The way I go to sleep in times like this is I do a breathing exercise and it puts me out pretty hard after some time. Just turn off all lights, make your room dark, make sure you're not too hot then you can start.

Lay down, close your eyes and inhale for 4 seconds, then hold your breath for 7 seconds and exhale through your mouth for 8 seconds. Repeat this focusing on your breathing and it will put you to sleep before you realize it.
