IMO, they should have kept the rule to not ask for thanks and rep. Its too easy to get 1000 thanks and a high amount of rep. Back in like 2010/11, rep and thanks actually meant something as it didnt come as easy. Now its just some useless number because thats all people ask for.

Sigs like OP showed, should not be allowed. It makes them look bad tbh. It doesnt make them look professional.

You said all this but in your motto you are asking for rep?

My motto is just a little joke. Im not forcing anyone, just having a little fun. Im not going around with a signature that says "thanks, +rep me" and all that jazz. Im not desparate nor directly forcing people to rep me.

Its a useless number, but why not make some fun?

Also, what about your sig? You're asking for thanks and rep? More people view sigs than mottos

This rant is pretty pointless. If the guy is hosting a modded lobby for people I think they should be able to ask for a thanks/etc.

I don't even notice rep since they let people start begging for it

Qwel wrote Once upon a time the tech games used to not allow asking rep/thanks, rep/thanks used to mean something but now.. now it means nothing (to a degree) now that you can just ask for it

Once upon a time before the time you speak of, everyone would ask for rep/thanks and it was fine.

Because there is no rule against it anymore. Rep, posts, badges, etc etc literally mean nothing. They are just code on a forum.

Shouldn't matter to anyone but the user who uploaded it and the staff who approve it.
