So I have two new Zephyr consoles coming in tomorrow, and since they aren't the most reliable of consoles for RROD I have decided I will be doing the 12v Mod on the consoles.

I have seen on a different website that you could get a toggle switch for the fan which I think would be a nice addition to the console. Since I have never done the 12v Fan mod nor have I used a toggle switch on a console before I thought I would come here and ask.

Does anyone have a detailed tutorial on how to do the 12v Fan mod? Most tutorials seem outdated and most of the image links are broken. Also if I was to do it how would I wire up the toggle switch to the fan wires?

This is the kind of thing I'm after: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

being its a zephyr i wouldn't use a toggle switch just make it complete 12 volts mainly toggle switch is SPST single pole single throw so its either on or off

the switch you show is simple to wire ground on one side power on the other post when you turn it on it will complete the connection to make it full 12volts

I have just done this on two of my Xenon Consoles without the switch, working fine so at least I know where to wire it normally. Now I have ordered that switch off Amazon and I have a Falcon Which I'm customizing atm and I think a 12v Fan Switch would be a neat addition. Will let you all know how it goes and make a post with pictures etc when it's done.
