So i am doing A levels in September and i aint sure whether to go to sixth form or college?

All my friends are going to college but arent in many of the same lessons however at sixth form i know people bit wont have a solid friend group. I think the teaching at both places in relatively equal in terms of how well they teach but i aint sure

I've just finished my first year at college and its fun believe me, you have a laugh, I got people on my course who are a year or 2 years older who did sixth form too and every single one of them said its so stressful and just a waste of time.

I went to sixth form, failed the 1st year, managed to convince teachers to let me restart but was failing again and so I left 2 months before everyone else.

I'm not a bad kid, not a drop-out. I got all passes and C's in my GCSE's including NCFE level 2 grades and BTECS.

I just hated the sixth form, the way it felt. The courses felt like it they were irrelevant to what I wanted to do in the future. I'm now starting college in September to do what I want, game design.

I was doing graphics at A-level and learnt nothing, it was pretty much just copying styles from artists and filling up a sketch book. When I wanted to learn proper professional graphic design, not that bullshit.

Sixth form offers better structure and is generally easy to get into uni from but it has downsides as well you generally don't get as much choice when it comes to courses you can do.

College is more laid back and you won't get pushed to do work you either do it or fail it's not the job of the lecturers to parent you its up to you.

I prefer college because I'm a extremely laid back person and the lecturers don't tend to be absolute arseholes you'll be used too from school.

I did Sixth form for a year and I didn't do because I was a little too relaxed there being in the common room most of the day with my friend and no teachers so didn't get much work done and now I'm at college ive been doing a lot better and getting better grades
