Need to lose weight over the next year, so what's the best way to lose weight or some good exercise machines to buy?

I would recommend probably buying a subscription at a local gym. My friend has lost over 50 pounds and His gym only costs like $5 a month.

Well, my birthday is in a month so I'll have a bit of cash so I was thinking to start saving for my own mini gym in one of my spare rooms

Basically what helped me lose 80lbs+ was by eating small portions of food and either riding a bike or walking/running everyday. I have been doing this for around 2+ years now. I also stopped drinking all soda's and been eating more veggies.

It really depends on how heavy you are and how much fat compared to muscle you have. Also how much weight you want to lose and how long you've got.

If you just want to lose weight then go to

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

And find out how many calories you need to eat each day to keep your current weight. Then take about 150-250 calories off that and make a diet around it. Try to build the diet around high protein foods so you lose minimal muscle and healthy food like brown rice and chicken breasts.

Also if you plan to start going to the gym which I would highly recommend since it'll speed up the process and build some muscle at the same time. Try to mainly do compound exercises (exercises that work more than one muscle) like the bench press, dead-lifting and military presses because they'll build you the most muscle and burn the most calories.

Good luck, message me if you need any other help.

First off I'd quit TTG ;) I would look on some fitness websites and see if they have any guides, diets and workouts

Losing weight is 85% diet, the rest is gym. And I'd say get a membership, the equipment is a lot better than you'd have at your house and a lot cheaper of only $5 a month better than trying to spend money on your own
