F40 wrote So just going to go with my thoughts on each, hope it helps.

Ferrari 458 Spider - Fairly common Ferrari, someone has one a couple of streets down from me. Ferrari is as you know a flash car but imo it is a more of a "look at my car, i'm rich" car.

Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 - No comment (Personally don't like and very common, equivalent to a Audi TT)

Nissan GTR - This is what i would pick out of the current listed cars, it is a car of beauty and speed. Also has amazing previous models (R34, R33 etc). Also sounds awesome even with the stock exhaust system (Seen a couple while riding in London) but if you were to go with this get a new exhaust system (Akrapovic for example)

Audi R8 - Surprisingly not very common in the UK, i have only seen one outside Ikea. I think it looks good and obviously will be reliable being German.

McLaren 650 - Haven't really payed a lot of attention to McLaren since the F1 but it looks nice and have seen one coming out of McDonald's lol. If you are going to go for a flashy look this is a better option than the Ferrari.

You probably will not like this but this is what i would get in your situation:

Most people wouldn't realise you had a V8 under the hood, 560BHP and 4.2 0-60. BMW M5

Thanks for the suggestion with the BMW, but I am looking more for a super car style of car.

My 2011 Camaro SS also has a V8 engine, so im looking more towards a sport/super rather than an every day driving car.

Okay on that note, take the Noble M600 225MPH top speed and 0-60 is like a rocket. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Only bad thing is that it is around $310,000 but you will not be disappointed.

I don't comment on much anymore because this section is dead or we get the same BS re-posts and threads so don't take this lightly. I'll give you a small breakdown with each. I want to know why you are going from a Camaro SS to something listed below. How the hell you can afford a McLaren, etc. but own a SS now is beyond my knowledge but hey, we all grind for this.

Short and sweet, going to try and sum this up in a sentence or 2 for each.

Option 1: Not enough ummpf in her for the money. I can find something cheaper and have more fun in it.
Option 2: Sweet American Muscle. Amazing car, not too many flaws, cheaper one of the 5 too. Buy it and mod the hell out of that LS. MSG me for help on parts. I know a lot of guys that work with LS motors.
Option 3: You can drive one year round. Winter? Put some snow tires on. Summer? Spool the turbos and launch her like a rocket. This would be my #1 choice honestly.
Option 4: I would pick the V10 over the V8 if you were to buy one. Gas is going to be a you know what. I've seen these things burn through fuel like crazy. This would be #3 on my list. Definitely a car you want to look at thoroughly before buying.
Option 5: Haven't paid much attention to the 650s' much. The front end is amazing where the rear end is just straight buzz killer. Only McLaren I would consider is the P1. 650 is #5 on my list here.

I know you said you wanted effort put into these, but I am too much of an enthusiast, and would have been typing out paragraphs for you. So to save you time, I tried to give you my honest short version answers. I would have put more but we can't convince you to buy a certain car. You're going to get what you want no matter what. The day I went to get my G8 I had searched their inventory lot for months. I had a car picked out that I wanted too. When I got there they had just gotten my car the day prior and a salesman was driving it. It was the first car I looked at, I test drove it and told them I wanted it. You are going to pick what you like no matter what. Just saying.

Honestly it would have to be out of the r35 or the 458.

Everyone knows that the r35 is a wonderful car, good for its price too. But I have heard of a lot of people finding them boring after driving them for a bit. They say its too computerized and you get used to the launch.

The 458 really has a sense of prestige and super car. Honestly as someone who really only likes japanese cars I would go for the 458.

But all that being said. You should test drive them all if possible.

My very honest opinion is that if you are buying the car on other peoples opinions (especially those who have not driven any of them) you might regret it. If you really wanted 1 of them but then saw the others and had second thoughts on what you wanted I would go for the original. You don't want to be in the position a year from now wishing you had bought what you originally wanted or you bought a car because some people told you it was better.

last little note I thought I should add. You are purchasing a car for more than $100,000. Paying for maintenance should really be a factor in your decision. yea parts will be expensive but your buying an expensive car.

Edit: might I suggest a 26b turbo rx7?

What about a Dodge Viper?
Toyota Supra?

as for the options, I would go with the GTR due to the fact that you can turn it into an absolute monster that in all honesty, will scare the shit out of you.. They are clean, comfortable, practical (4WD etc as SRT said) and most of all, reliable.

I'd go for the one that looks the sexiest and more affordable in the long run, personally I'd go for Audi R8 as it's stunning, quick and the second cheapest there. If I had that kind of money though, I'd go for Nissan GTR.

Honestly If I had that much it would be a easy decision of the 458 or the GTR. Both cars are amazing and are dream cars. Obviously if you get a GTR you can upgrade it make it look even better and still have a lot of money left over but if you go for the 458 then you kinda wont have that much money left. I personally would go for the 458 as its a very nice car even though I absolutely love GTR's Id choose a 458.

Look at all the GT-R fanboys anyways the Zo6 cause its sexier than a nissian without a doubt

Also that's think like this the corvette's insurance is going to be cheaper than all those cars and here's a plus you can start modding the corvette to cause its the cheapest out of the 5 to and another plus maintenance is cheaper on the corvette to
