I'm paying for 100mbps and only getting 49. My internet provider is comcast xfinity. Each time I call them they say they will fix it, but never do. Can someone suggest a decent internet provider?

Are you wireless? Wireless will always be slower than wired

Peak times, your internet will slow down.

The amount of people on it and what they are doing [e.g streaming netflix exc] will have a big impact on speed.

yeah same here i pay for 100mbs but i get 60 wired

Most providers say "upto" 100mbps your location will determine how much you actually get.

Very true, I am very lucky where I live, I pay for 160MB and I get around 155MB

If thats via wireless i'd stay quiet - that's fine.

If it's wired then check the wording of their offer, it probably says "up-to".
