I have a really low end 500watt PSU, but i have 1 16x and two 8x's. Cpu is an overclocked i5-4690k.

I was gonna buy a seperate, small, maybe 300watt PSU for the GPU alone, as i have everything wired up already, and don't care about space, noise, or energy, and i have a place for it on the side.

Lol it is there, sorry I was working on a CSS script for TTG and I didn't realize I couldn't see that until now, so thanks for that

You'd be better off just getting a $50-70 650-700w PSU than buying a second one just for that. Wiring won't take long to redo and if you get a Fully Modular PSU it will even look cleaner than before once done.

Seasonic typically have good PSUs so a 700w from them would probably do you. As far as a second PSU goes having two PSUs in a case equals more heat you don't want and more mess you don't want, save yourself the hassle and get one 650-700w PSU.

Yeah, i just got this thing together, it's really, really wired in there, not really wanting to take everything out.

If i can find a cheap 700watt PSU, for less than 70, i'll get it next week, between school and work, the next day(s) i have off are the 31st and that weekend, really.

I was hoping not to have to, but you are right.

Reccomend a good one?

I'm not the best with PSUs so someone else will probably find a better one but this one looks good to me.

If it was that then that is a good PSU. Not sure if it's modular or not but its defo a good buy if you got it for that.

More wattage doesn't necessarily mean a better PSU A solid 650W unit would be fine. Get this;

Within budget and only $50 after rebate. It's a good quality unit too. Also fully modular so good cable management will mean nicer looking and better airflow.

How exactly does a modular PSU work?

Do you just literally pull out the cables you don't need?

Non modular means all the cables are installed into the PSU and can't be removed. Semi-modular means important cables can't be removed, but extra ones can. Fully modular means the all cables can be removed and you just plug in whichever you need for your system to run. Reduces ables which means easier to manage which means it looks nicer and you get more airflow for a cooler system.

Ahhhh. Yeah, my cables right now are pretty ugly. I think that would help.

And that PSU will support 2 of. My GPUS?
