Whenever I'm in a skype chat the messages always say they came like an hour ago but they only show up at a random time

Try re-installing it. That should fix your problem

Maybe you should reinstall skype thats all i can suggest

Yeah like the members above me suggested try re installing it i had the same problem it went back to normal for a while but keeps having problems every now and again if it keeps happening maybe contact skype support ?

Like the other's said try Re-Installing skype but it might not be just that it could be your connection or the person your sending it too could have left there self signed in a mobile device or just not be at there computer or something along them lines, If this happens, Just re-install it and maybe restart your router
